Bermuda's 2026 Youth Climate Summit | November 16-21

Zahra Trott

YCS Alumni, Conservation Track

Lovingly dubbed ‘Aunty Zahra’ by other YCS participants, Zahra Trott is a 20-year-old climate activist. With an aspiration to become a conservation scientist (and potentially an ecologist), she is a current student at the Bermuda College studying environmental science and hopes to further explore her academic pursuits into university. Zahra has been an active participant in YCS from its inception. Since joining YCS, Zahra has most recently gone on to become a participant in the first cohort of the Young Leaders of Ocean Governance (YLOG) & interned at the Ministry of Home Affairs in their energy department (through YLOG). She is also a climate ambassador with YCS! Zahra is also an advocate for mental health and lives with the thought, “there is no such thing as an unimportant person” (yes, inspired by Dr. Who!). As Zahra goes through life, she will continue to remind herself (and everyone else) that there is a place & a purpose for everyone in this life, even if you must make it yourself! Though it may not seem like it at first, Zahra is happy to have a chat with anyone – she’s just a tad shy & probably sleep deprived!
