COP26 Delegate, The Wild Centre Youth Climate Programme
Andrew Fagerheim is a youth climate leader from Homer, New York. During his time in Homer, he led multiple youth-driven climate action projects including a solar charging station for electronics, co-founded the annual Central New York Youth Climate Summit, and presented at youth climate summits around the state. Since 2019, Andrew has served as the Assistant Coordinator of the Village of Homer’s sustainability taskforce. Last fall, the Village became the first and only municipality in New York to earn Climate Smart Communities certification through the leadership of young people.
This November, Andrew will COP26 in Glasgow as a delegate for The Wild Center’s Youth Climate Program, where he will advocate for youth participation and climate change education as essential components of climate action. Andrew is currently a sophomore at Columbia University majoring in Earth and Environmental Engineering.
